Which engine do you have?

Your oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs all follow the engine, not the model year. Engine identity is NOT on the driver-door Safety Compliance label. Two places on the truck carry it: the underhood Vehicle Emission Control Information label, which prints the displacement in liters, and the 8th character of the 17-digit VIN, which is Ford's engine code. We have not sourced Ford's 13th-gen VIN-position-8 code table from a Ford document, so we do not publish a code-to-engine mapping - use the underhood label. The fender or tailgate badge is a fast visual check on most trims, but it will not tell a standard 3.5L EcoBoost from the High-Output version, and from 2019 a Limited can be either.
