From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“US bottle label carries 'WARNING! MAY CAUSE EYE AND SKIN IRRITATION.' SDS §2 classifies the product as 'not dangerous' but the label hazard statement is more current than the 2021 European SDS. Tier follows the more conservative authority · wear safety glasses during pour and machine application.”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“US label carries an eye/skin irritation caution. SDS §8 recommends nitrile gloves 'based on exposure assessment' · boilerplate language, not a chemistry-mandated requirement. Trace MIT/CMIT preservative is a known skin sensitizer at concentrate strength but sits well below the 0.0015% trigger threshold.”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“SDS §2 not classified for inhalation; flash point >93°C and pH 8-9 do not warrant respiratory protection for normal hand or DA application. Petroleum distillate carrier at 3-7% is a mild solvent · apply outdoors or in an open garage. Closed-bay use justifies a respirator if combined with multiple solvent products in succession.”

TL;DR Solid 4·5 months of real protection on a daily driver per long-term Detailing World threads · pro-line synthetic polymer with a forgiving wipe-off window for hand or DA application. Wear safety glasses for pour and machine application; the bottle carries a WARNING irritation caution and the product listing flags Prop 65.
Apply a few small drops to a foam pad, work into thin sections, let haze 5 to 10 minutes, then buff off with a clean microfiber towel. Machine application via DA polisher is supported and gives a slightly more uniform film, but hand application yields essentially the same durability. A full midsize sedan takes 45 to 60 minutes including cure time. Real-world protection runs 4·5 months on a daily driver washed weekly per multiple long-term community follow-ups · a clean sit at the median of the hand-applied paint sealant category. The cool synthetic-polymer clarity reads especially well on dark paint without yellowing.
Buy it if you want a community-validated pro-line polymer sealant from a brand with deep detailer reputation, you can apply by hand or machine, and 4·5 month durability is enough. Skip it if you want category-leading 6+ month durability · Wolfgang Deep Gloss outlasts M21 by roughly two months at a higher price point. Skip it also if you want a warm carnauba-glow finish; M21 reads cool and glassy.
The 2021 European Safety Data Sheet classifies M21 as not dangerous under REACH/CLP · no GHS hazard codes apply at the product-level concentrations. The US bottle label adds a WARNING eye/skin irritation precaution, and the product listing carries a California Prop 65 warning that the European SDS does not echo; the PPE eyes tier follows the more conservative label authority. The petroleum distillate carrier at 3·7% gives a mild solvent vapor during application · ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces. No PFAS and no aquatic toxicity codes; the leave-on protection film stays on the paint, not in the drain.
Long-term Detailing World threads and owner reviews consistently report 4·5 months of visible water beading on a daily driver washed weekly with pH-neutral shampoo. The label does not promise a specific duration; community follow-ups place this product near the median of the hand-applied paint sealant category · solid, not exceptional.
Both methods work. Apply a small amount to a foam pad or microfiber applicator, work in thin sections, allow to haze 5-10 minutes, buff off with a clean microfiber. Machine application via a DA polisher (Meguiar's marketing leans into this) gives a marginally more uniform film, but hand application yields essentially the same durability per multiple community comparisons.
M21 is a pure synthetic polymer pro-line product; Ultimate Liquid Wax is a hybrid synthetic + carnauba consumer formula. M21 typically lasts 1-2 months longer (4-5 months vs. 3-4) but produces a cooler/glassier finish without carnauba warmth. M21 also requires standard hand or machine application; Ultimate Liquid Wax has a marketed 'safe in direct sun' wipe-off window M21 does not claim.
Layering a polymer sealant over a cured ceramic does not chemically bond · M21 will sit on top and will fade faster than on bare paint, typically 6·10 weeks rather than 4·5 months. Most ceramic-coating users skip topping with polymer sealant and use a SiO₂ booster instead. M21 will not damage a ceramic coating, but it will not extend its protection either.
The 2021 European SDS classifies M21 as not dangerous under REACH/CLP because it sits below threshold concentrations for any GHS hazard category. The US bottle label adds a WARNING precaution covering eye and skin irritation · a label-level caution rather than a GHS classification. The product listing also carries a California Prop 65 warning, which is a US-jurisdiction disclosure independent of the European SDS classification.
