Screwdrivers and nut drivers handle the smaller fasteners — interior trim, dashboard panels, battery clamps, hose clamp screws, license plates. A decent set has Phillips #1/#2/#3, flat-head in three widths, and stubby versions for tight spots like the back of a glovebox. Nut drivers (sockets on a screwdriver handle) live for things like 8mm and 10mm hose clamps where a full ratchet won't fit. Get magnetized tips so the screw stays on the driver when you're working blind under the dash; the alternative is fishing screws out of the carpet for an hour.
