Pry bars, pullers, and extractors are the persuasion tools — for when a part is stuck and a hammer alone won't do it without breaking something. A long pry bar separates a stuck rotor from the hub, a three-jaw puller pops a stubborn harmonic balancer off the crankshaft, screw extractors back out the bolt you snapped flush with the block. You won't use them every job, but the day you need a steering-wheel puller and don't own one is the day the project stops. Pair with a quality breaker bar for the leverage half of the equation.
