🗝️Hex & Torx Keys

Hex (Allen) and Torx keys handle the recessed fasteners that flat- and Phillips-head drivers can't touch — brake caliper guide bolts, interior trim screws, European-car everything. Modern cars use Torx (the six-pointed star) on more than you'd think: seat rails, door hinges, headlight housings. A folding set lives in the glovebox; a proper L-key set with ball ends lives on the bench so you can reach bolts at an angle. Pair with a 1/4-inch socket set that includes hex and Torx bits for higher-torque work.
