⚙️Ratchets & Breaker Bars

Ratchets and breaker bars are the handles that turn your sockets. A good 3/8-inch ratchet with fine-tooth gearing (72+ teeth) handles 90% of underhood work; a 1/2-inch breaker bar — basically a long solid handle with no ratcheting mechanism — is what you grab when a lug nut or crank pulley bolt is welded on. A 1/2-inch breaker bar will outlive any cheap ratchet you buy; spend the money there. Pair with a matching socket set and a torque wrench for the put-back side.
