TL;DR Nickel/moly paste for stainless fasteners and copper-prohibited applications, rated to 1500°F. DANGER signal word from H317 (nickel skin sensitizer), H351 (suspected carcinogen), and H372 (organ damage) at mixture level. Wear gloves.
Never-Seez Blue Moly is a nickel/moly paste for stainless fasteners, food-adjacent assemblies, and industrial jobs where copper anti-seize is prohibited. Brush a thin coat on threads using the built-in cap brush; the blue pigment lets you confirm coverage visually. Solid anti-galling protection on high-load threads; strong field record in HVAC and industrial/MRO use. The 1500°F rating covers most routine hardware but falls short of the 1600°F threshold for demanding exhaust and turbo work.
Good fit for stainless fasteners, food-processing equipment, and assemblies where copper contamination is prohibited. Skip it for exhaust manifold studs or turbo hardware: the 1500°F rating falls short, and Permatex 77124 (2400°F rated) is the right choice there. For most non-stainless hardware, Permatex 81343 Silver Grade (aluminum-based) handles the job with a cleaner health profile.
DANGER from H317 (nickel skin sensitizer), H351 (suspected carcinogen Cat 2), and H372 (STOT RE Cat 1) in SDS §2. Nickel is a documented allergen; buyers with nickel sensitivity should choose aluminum-based anti-seize. Prop 65 nickel-carcinogen disclosure applies. Wear gloves. Lung protection is situational; no inhalation pathway in normal paste use. VOC 0 g/L. Nickel is a CWA Priority Pollutant; petroleum carrier is non-biodegradable.
The Safety Data Sheet for Never-Seez NBBT-8 Blue Moly Anti-Seize Compound carries a DANGER signal word, with classified hazards including H317 (may cause an allergic skin reaction); H351 (suspected of causing cancer); H372 (causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure). The Amazon listing also carries a California Prop 65 warning. See the PPE breakdown above for use-case-specific guidance translated from the SDS hazard codes.
CarCareTruth scores Never-Seez NBBT-8 Blue Moly Anti-Seize Compound at 5.2 out of 10 on the composite CCT score, with a health sub-score of 2.5/10. The CCT score blends real-world effectiveness, ingredient health impact pulled from the manufacturer's safety sheet, and environmental footprint against a published category rubric. See the methodology link on this page for the full scoring breakdown.
Per the Safety Data Sheet ingredient disclosure: SDS §3 (Revision 3, 28-Apr-2025): Nickel (CAS 7440-02-0) 7-<13%; Molybdenum(IV) sulfide / MoS2 (CAS 1317-33-5) 5-<10%; Ferrate(4-), hexakis(cyano-C)-, ammonium iron(3+) (1:1:1), (OC-6-11) / ammonium iron cyanide (CAS 25869-00-5) 5-<10%; Zinc oxide (CAS 1314-13-2) 1-<5%; Aluminum (CAS 7429-90-5) 0.1-<1%. Carrier: lithium soap grease (per TDS thickener type; proprietary base not in SDS §3).
