From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H336 (STOT SE Cat 3, may cause drowsiness/dizziness) classified in SDS §2. H335 absent from §2. Outdoor wipe-on application keeps exposure situational per ceramic-coating rubric v2.1 guidance for H336 without H335.”

TL;DR Forum members tracking daily drivers confirm protection close to 2 years on regularly-washed cars. The self-leveling formula and 2-5 minute flash window make this approachable for capable home detailers. The SDS classifies a suspected reproductive toxicant (H361) at the mixture level. Wear gloves; apply outdoors or with the garage fully open.
Meguiar's M888 bonds a protective barrier to clear coat that repels water and resists contamination for what the manufacturer calls "multi-year" service. Prep the surface, apply a few drops to the included tri-layer applicator pad, and work one panel at a time; the self-leveling formula gives a 2-5 minute window before buffing. The kit does not include a leveling cloth, so source one separately. Corvette Forum members report protection still effective near the 2-year mark.
Best for home detailers comfortable with a panel-by-panel workflow who want a professional-grade coating from a trusted brand. The forgiving flash window makes it accessible to capable first-timers with freshly prepped paint. Skip it if the reproductive toxicant SDS classification is a concern; a consumer silica spray coating delivers broadly similar protection without that flag and with a simpler kit.
SDS signal word is WARNING. SDS §2 classifies skin irritation (H315) and vapor-induced drowsiness (H336); SDS §8 specifies chemical-resistant gloves, and working indoors needs adequate ventilation. SDS §2 also classifies a suspected reproductive toxicant (H361) from the bisaminosilane crosslinker. The formula is flammable at 47°C; keep away from open flames. The coating cures permanently on paint; SDS §12 notes mild aquatic chronic toxicity (H412), reflected in the environment score.
Community data puts real-world protection at roughly 18 months to 2 years on a regularly-washed daily driver. One Corvette Forum member tracking their car across two years of regular driving reported the coating held up longer than anticipated. The manufacturer uses only 'multi-year' language with no numeric claim, so there is no label-versus-reality gap to name, but independently confirmed data beyond two years is limited at this stage given the product's relatively short time on market.
Almost. The kit includes the 1.3 fl oz coating bottle, a tri-layer microfiber applicator pad, and an application guide. It does NOT include a separate buffing or leveling microfiber cloth, which is a mandatory item for clearing any high spots after the flash period. Plan to source a clean, dry leveling cloth before you start. SDS §8 additionally specifies chemical-resistant gloves (Butyl Rubber, Fluoroelastomer, or Polymer laminate), which are also not in the kit.
Owners and independent reviewers put the flash window at 2 to 5 minutes, with the manufacturer describing the formula as self-leveling. The Track Ahead reviewer noted it is 'very forgiving' compared to competing coatings with tighter windows, and Corvette Forum members describe correcting the occasional high spot without compounding. Work in shade, one panel at a time, and have your leveling cloth ready; the self-leveling behavior gives first-timers meaningful recovery time compared to 60-second-window alternatives.
Yes. SDS §2 includes H361, which classifies the mixture as a suspected reproductive toxicant (Category 2). This classification comes from the bisaminosilane crosslinker ingredient in the formula. H361 at the mixture level is the basis for the product's published_flag lifecycle state on this site. The SDS §2 also includes H336 (may cause drowsiness or dizziness), which the SDS attributes to solvent vapors; SDS §8 recommends an exposure assessment for respiratory protection in confined spaces. Apply outdoors or with good ventilation.
No PFAS. SDS §3 lists no fluorinated ingredients; the two active silane components are not fluorinated. On Prop 65: the product listing returns no Prop 65 flag, and SDS §15 does not list a positive Prop 65 substance, stating only 'contact manufacturer for more information.' None of the three disclosed ingredients are known California Prop 65-registered substances. Prop 65 status is set to false based on current evidence.
