TL;DR Confirmed ammonia-free via the safety data sheet, safe for aftermarket window tint. The aerosol foam clings to vertical exterior glass and delivers streak-free results. Carries a California Prop 65 warning.
Shake, hold the can about 8 inches from glass, press the button, wipe with a clean glass microfiber. The foam clings to vertical glass long enough to break down road film and bug residue without running. Community feedback reports streak-free results with light technique on both interior and exterior glass. The dye-free formula and citrus scent address two common complaints about competing aerosol foamers. A minor caveat: the cleaning formula may gradually degrade some hydrophobic glass coatings with repeated use.
Buy it if you already run Griot's Garage products and prefer to stay within one brand. The chemistry is solid and the foam delivery works well on vertical exterior glass. Skip it if you want the same performance at a lower price. Competing ammonia-free aerosol foamers deliver similar results at typically half the cost. Skip it for interior cabin work in a closed vehicle; pump spray generates less inhalation exposure than aerosol.
