Solvent prep that strips polish residue before a coating goes down.
A panel wipe (also called IPA wipe or prep solvent) strips polish oils, fillers, and wax residue off paint so you can see the true correction result — and so a ceramic coating actually bonds to clean clear coat instead of slipping off oils. Reach for one between polishing stages to inspect your work in direct light, and always immediately before applying a coating, sealant, or PPF. Diluted isopropyl alcohol works in a pinch, but dedicated panel wipes are gentler on freshly polished paint. Pair with a stack of clean, low-pile microfibers.
