From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“No inhalation H-codes in SDS §2. The formula contains an AOEC-listed asthmagen (d-limonene), which holds lungs at recommended, though it is disclosed at only 0.1-1 percent in SDS §3 so the realistic inhalation hazard is low. Adequate ventilation is sensible for enclosed-space sessions.”

TL;DR Enough glide to keep the clay moving freely across a full panel with minimal respraying, and the surface wipes bone-dry with one microfiber pass afterward, no haze, no residue. The formula contains a fragrance-derived skin sensitizer, so wear gloves and eye protection; it is a water-based lube with no inhalation hazard codes.
Gyeon Q²M ClayLube Redefined is a dedicated clay lubricant, a single-purpose spray that gives a clay bar or clay mitt the slip it needs to glide without grabbing. It ships ready-to-use in 500 mL and dilutes up to 1:10 with water for economy. Community reviewers consistently praise the glide and clean wipe-off: one reported claying a full-size SUV using about a third of the bottle, with no post-clay prep step needed before LSP application. The brand states the formula is safe on PPF and vinyl; no named third-party film manufacturer has independently confirmed that claim.
A solid pick for anyone who clays their own vehicle once or twice a year and wants a dedicated spray that removes any doubt about the bar grabbing. The 1:10 dilution ratio stretches a single bottle across multiple sessions. Skip it if you already own a rinseless wash; diluting that 1:16 achieves similar lubricity at lower cost per session.
WARNING signal word from the SDS, driven by eye irritation, skin irritation, and a skin sensitizer classification. Those are all skin and eye contact codes on a water-based formula, so gloves and eye protection cover the realistic risk. A fragrance ingredient is AOEC-listed; at the sub-1 percent level disclosed in the SDS its realistic inhalation hazard is low, so it carries only a small health adjustment, though adequate ventilation is still sensible for long enclosed sessions. That same ingredient carries an aquatic toxicity flag at ingredient level, pulling the environment score below the category baseline. Scores above reflect working-solution concentration at the declared 1:10 dilution ratio.
The Safety Data Sheet for Gyeon Q²M ClayLube Redefined carries a WARNING signal word, with classified hazards including H315 (causes skin irritation); H317 (may cause an allergic skin reaction); H319 (causes serious eye irritation). See the PPE breakdown above for use-case-specific guidance translated from the SDS hazard codes.
CarCareTruth scores Gyeon Q²M ClayLube Redefined at 6.8 out of 10 on the composite CCT score, with a health sub-score of 6.2/10. The CCT score blends real-world effectiveness, ingredient health impact pulled from the manufacturer's safety sheet, and environmental footprint against a published category rubric. See the methodology link on this page for the full scoring breakdown.
Per the Safety Data Sheet ingredient disclosure: SDS §3 (WHMIS 2015 CDN-en Rev 5.0, 2024-07-24): Cocamide DEA (CAS 68603-42-9, 10; <30%), ethanol (CAS 64-17-5, 7; <13%), d-limonene (CAS 5989-27-5, 0.1; <1%). Water is inferred balance. Citral (CAS 5392-40-5) referenced in SDS §8 exposure limits; likely present sub-threshold, not listed in §3. No back-of-bottle image available.
