Griot's Garage BOSS Perfecting Cream

It's the third (yellow) step in Griot's color-coded BOSS correction system: Fast Correcting Cream (orange) for heavy cut, Correcting Cream (red) for medium cut, and Perfecting Cream (yellow) for the final finishing step. Pairs with the BOSS yellow Perfecting Foam Pad. The system is designed so each step's color matches a specific pad and abrasive level — pick by the defect, not by guessing.

Yes per Griot's product page — the BOSS line is marketed as silicone-free and filler-free, and Auto Geek and Detailing World threads on Reflect-vs-BOSS comparisons corroborate the silicone-free claim via IPA wipe-down tests. We have not yet been able to obtain the full SDS to verify the §3 ingredient list at the regulatory level — Griot's restricts SDS distribution to business/commercial customers.

Because the SDS for BOSS Perfecting Cream is not publicly hosted. Griot's policy is to distribute SDS documents only to business/commercial customers (their public statement: 'provided as a service for business customers and are not applicable to consumer use'). Spray Wax and Wash & Wax SDS are public, but the BOSS-line SDS documents are not indexed. Per CCT methodology, when an SDS is not on file the Health score is set to 3.0 with confidence: unrated — this is the no-SDS penalty, reflecting the inability to verify safety, not a known hazard.

Different products. BOSS Perfecting Cream is a pure finishing polish — abrasive cut and finish only. BOSS Finishing Sealant is a polish-plus-protection hybrid that adds polymer-based UV protection on top of the finishing step; it functions more like a one-step polish + sealant than a pure finishing polish. Griot's color-codes the BOSS line: yellow Perfecting Cream pairs with the yellow BOSS Perfecting Foam Pad (5.5" or 6.5"). DA at 4,500–5,500 OPM, two slow passes per panel section with light pressure on the final pass. Typical 4–6 minute working window under garage conditions. Some Auto Geek users prefer a softer Lake Country White pad with the polish for very soft single-stage paint.
