Prices may varyThe manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet classifies this product with one or more GHS Category 1 health hazards — the most severe tier. The hazard statements in quotes below are the verbatim GHS language from the SDS, as required by OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard. The line under each statement translates the GHS classification into plain language.
GHS Category 1 aspiration toxicity — thin, oily liquids can slip into the lungs if swallowed, causing chemical pneumonia.
If swallowed, inhaled, or splashed in eyes:
Call Poison Control immediately at 1-800-222-1222 (US, 24/7, free) and have the product container with you. Poison Control's standing guidance is to not induce vomiting after chemical exposure; they will direct first-aid steps based on the specific product.
About this product's hazards. This product's Safety Data Sheet uses signal word danger. Read the manufacturer's SDS and follow all safety instructions before use. CarCareTruth ratings translate the manufacturer's safety sheet. They do not replace the SDS or substitute for a hazard assessment specific to your task.
Health score is for adult use as intended, per the manufacturer's SDS. It does not model child ingestion, accidental spill cleanup, or off-label use. See the safety panel below for full hazard classification, and /disclaimer for the full editorial scope.

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“No H318 or H319 in SDS §2 mixture classification. The liquid format introduces splash risk during dispensing from the bottle. SDS §8 includes eye-protection precautionary language for this reason. The wipe-on foam-applicator format does not routinely generate eye-level mist or spray during application.”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H304 (aspiration hazard Cat 1) classification reflects the petroleum-distillate carrier at 10·<25% concentration. SDS §8 specifies chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile or equivalent) as the skin protection measure. Petroleum-distillate carriers are skin defatting agents · the SDS §8 glove recommendation applies for normal application use, not just prolonged contact.”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H335 (may cause respiratory irritation) in SDS §2 reflects the petroleum-distillate carrier off-gassing during application. The wipe-on liquid format applied outdoors on a driveway or with garage door open represents low inhalation exposure. SDS §7 specifies outdoor or well-ventilated-area use; inhalation risk is material only in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces.”

TL;DR Surface-coating trim restorer that visibly darkens faded black plastic and rubber. Solid on moderate fade, limited on severe oxidation (about 50% restoration at best). Durability is 2·4 weeks, well short of the 100-wash claim. The DANGER signal word comes from H304 (aspiration hazard from the petroleum-distillate carrier); wear nitrile gloves and apply outdoors. No documented paint transfer.
A petroleum-distillate and silicone emulsion that darkens trim with a surface coating rather than bonding to the substrate. Apply with a foam applicator in the shade, let it sit, then wipe the excess. Owners confirm consistent, first-timer-friendly results on moderately faded ABS and rubber. On severely oxidized trim, restoration tops out around 50%. The "100 car washes" durability claim is not corroborated by owners; 2·4 weeks is realistic on a daily driver.
A good fit for owners with moderately faded trim who want a forgiving, affordable surface-coat result and accept reapplying every few weeks. Skip it if durability beyond a month matters, where penetrating-polymer or acrylic-resin restorers hold longer and treat oxidation more deeply. Also skip for severely chalky trim that the ~50% restoration ceiling won't cover.
The DANGER signal word comes from H304 (aspiration hazard, Cat 1): the petroleum-distillate carrier is harmful if swallowed, an ingestion pathway rather than a wipe-on inhalation risk. H335 from the same carrier makes outdoor application appropriate, and the SDS specifies nitrile gloves. The Prop 65 warning covers aromatic hydrocarbons plus DMDM hydantoin. The carrier is non-biodegradable with aquatic-toxicity data in SDS §12.
Community-confirmed durability on a daily driver is 2·4 weeks. The manufacturer claims protection for 'over 100 car washes,' which community evidence does not corroborate · owners consistently report 2·4 weeks before noticeable fading, regardless of wash frequency.
Surface coating. The formula contains petroleum distillates, silicone compounds, and mineral oil · these temporarily darken trim by filling surface texture and leaving a thin film rather than chemically bonding to or penetrating the plastic substrate. The 2·4 week community durability is consistent with surface-coat class products.
No documented paint-transfer incidents appear in reviewed community sources. Careful edge application is still good practice at the trim-to-paint boundary, but this product does not have a documented paint-staining issue.
The DANGER signal word is driven by H304 (aspiration hazard Cat 1) in SDS §2, which classifies the petroleum-distillate carrier (10·<25%) as hazardous if it enters the lungs · this is an ingestion-only pathway (e.g., accidentally swallowing the product), not a spray or wipe-on inhalation risk. For normal trim application outdoors, the primary precaution is wearing nitrile gloves per SDS §8.
The manufacturer states it is safe for all trim colors on plastic, vinyl, and rubber. Community reviews confirm use across ABS bumpers, polypropylene door trim, and EPDM rubber trim without surface damage. No substrate-specific failure cases appear in reviewed sources.
