From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H319 (Serious Eye Irritation Cat 2A) is classified in SDS §2. That classification applies during close-range pump-spray use inside the vehicle cabin.”

U.S. regulatory standard
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1)
“The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from… liquid chemicals…”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H315 (Skin Irritation Cat 2) and H317 (Skin Sensitizer Cat 1, driven by HICC) are both classified in SDS §2. The H317 sensitizer classification means repeated contact without protection increases sensitization risk.”
— Malco
U.S. regulatory standard
29 CFR 1910.138(a)
“appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from… chemicals which produce an adverse effect on the skin or eyes…”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“H335 (Respiratory Irritation Cat 3) is classified in SDS §2. Pump-spray application inside the vehicle cabin is a semi-enclosed space; the H335 classification applies in that context.”

TL;DR Peroxide-based RTU that lifts dye and tannin stains from car carpet and cloth seats with a brush-and-blot technique, no extraction equipment needed. Not for leather or vinyl. GHS H319 and H317 (skin sensitizer, driven by HICC fragrance component) are classified in SDS §2.
Malco OXY uses hydrogen peroxide as its stain-lifting active, which makes it especially effective on dye-based and tannin stains: coffee, tea, juice, and set-in food spills are the documented targets. Spray directly onto the stained area, allow 2-3 minutes of dwell time, then wipe with a shop towel or brush for stubborn spots. It dries fast with no post-rinse required and owners report no watermarks or residue. The raspberry-lavender scent fades as the product dries. Performance on grease or oil-based stains is likely weaker, as oxidizing chemistry is not optimized for those substrates.
A strong match for anyone dealing with coffee, food, or dye stains on OEM cloth seats and car carpet, especially if you want a spray-and-wipe solution without a wet-vac. Skip it for leather and vinyl surfaces, where the manufacturer explicitly warns against use. If your main concern is oily or greasy stains, an enzyme or alkaline cleaner is a better fit for those substrates.
Signal word is WARNING. SDS §2 classifies H319 (eye irritation Cat 2A) and H315 (skin irritation Cat 2) from the solvent system, H317 (skin sensitizer Cat 1) from the HICC fragrance component, and H335 (respiratory irritation Cat 3). The H317 sensitizer classification applies during repeated skin contact without gloves. Apply with vehicle doors open to reduce cabin exposure from H335. Product is left on fabric surfaces (not rinsed to drain). SDS §12 classifies the product as not environmentally hazardous.
No. The manufacturer explicitly states the product is not for use on leather or vinyl surfaces. Use a dedicated leather cleaner for those materials.
No. The directions are spray, allow 2-3 minutes dwell, then wipe with a clean shop towel or brush. No extraction equipment is required.
The peroxide oxidizing formula targets dye-based and tannin stains: coffee, tea, juice, and food spills. It is less suited for oil-based or grease stains, which respond better to enzyme or alkaline formulas.
SDS §2 carries H317 (Skin Sensitizer Cat 1) at the mixture level. The Ingredients PDF identifies HICC (CAS 31906-04-4), a high-prevalence contact sensitizer, as a fragrance component. Using gloves during repeated application reduces sensitization exposure.
The product targets carpet and fabric seats. Car headliners vary by material and may absorb moisture differently. Malco does not list headliners as a covered surface. Test on a small inconspicuous area first.
