CarCareTruth's Analysis
Last reviewed June 4, 2026
TL;DR Touring all-season with a UTQG Traction A wet-grip grade, but two Tire Rack tests show mixed results and owner-odometer data from multiple forums documents significant premature wear.
What it is and how it performs
The Turanza QuietTrack is a grand-touring all-season built around low road noise via in-groove ridges and optimized pitch sequencing. A 2021 Tire Rack 4-tire test had it tied for top in on-road handling; a 2024 Tire Rack 11-tire test ranked it 8th with below-average wet and dry grip. The Treadwear 800 grade suggests long life in isolation, but owner-odometer data from multiple independent forums documents many owners far short of the warranty mileage.
Who should buy this, and who should skip it
Right for a sedan or crossover owner prioritizing quiet, smooth highway miles in moderate climates. Skip it for hard winters: M+S only with no 3PMSF severe-snow certification; a 3PMSF-rated all-weather tire in your size is the right choice.
Safety and environmental impact
Cured-rubber-and-steel construction; no chemical-exposure pathway in normal mounting and use. Tires shed tire-wear particles and 6PPD that transforms into 6PPD-quinone in road runoff, and most scrap tires are burned or downcycled rather than truly recycled.
