Bridgestone

Bridgestone was founded in 1931 in Kurume, Fukuoka, Japan by Shojiro Ishibashi (the family name means "stone bridge"). It is one of the three largest tire manufacturers in the world alongside Michelin and Goodyear. Bridgestone acquired Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1988, substantially expanding its North American presence. The company's Blizzak line of dedicated winter tires has become a benchmark in the winter tire category since its introduction, with the WS (Winter Studless) series designed specifically for North American road conditions. Bridgestone tires are sold across passenger car, light truck, commercial vehicle, and motorsport segments worldwide.
