TL;DR Cyclic silicone carrier glaze with naphtha co-solvent and carnauba confirmed in the formula. Fills and masks light haze and fine swirls temporarily · not permanently. No haze wait; buff off immediately. Fill typically lasts an estimated 3·5 washes consistent with silicone-carrier glaze category norms; no community follow-up wash-count data on file. SDS §2 WARNING: H315 (skin irritation) and H361fd (suspected reproductive toxicity). California Prop 65 applies from a trace diethanolamine impurity.
A pre-wax treatment that masks light imperfections by filling them with silicone and carnauba · it does not remove swirls, and the fill washes away over wash cycles. Apply a thin layer by foam pad or machine on clean, clayed paint and buff off without waiting for a haze. owners document easy one-pass removal, no streaking, and a visibly deeper, wetter finish. Also removes film and haze from interior glass. No documented incompatibility with mainstream waxes or sealants.
A practical pre-wax depth step for show prep or monthly detailing. Skip it if you need actual swirl correction (a compound and polish do that), and skip it before a ceramic coating · the cyclic silicone carrier at 30·60% can interfere with coating adhesion.
SDS §2 WARNING: H315 (skin irritation) and H361fd (suspected reproductive toxicity Cat 2). Eye damage and aspiration hazard cleared at mixture level per SDS §11. Flash point 33°C · apply outdoors or in an open garage. SDS §8 specifies gloves and ventilation. SDS §15 confirms a diethanolamine impurity (0.015%) triggers California Prop 65 for cancer; the product listing does not show this warning (confirmed false negative). VOC 133.5 g/L. D5 and D4 silicones are PBT/vPvB per EU REACH.
Neither · it's a pre-wax glaze. Adam's explicitly states it is 'not a standalone car wax or sealant' in the product description. Apply it to clean, clayed paint, let it haze briefly, buff off, then top with your preferred wax or sealant. The glaze fills and masks light surface imperfections temporarily; the wax or sealant goes on top to provide protection and durability.
owners do use it on glass (especially interior windshields to remove haze/film), and the product listing mentions removing 'stubborn fogginess' from interior windows. The SDS classifies it as 'Vehicle wax' with use on painted surfaces. On glass it acts as a haze and film remover through the mild abrasive (calcined kaolin) and silicone fill. This is a secondary use · it is primarily formulated as a pre-wax paint treatment.
It fills and masks light swirls and fine scratches temporarily by filling them with silicone and carnauba wax · it does not remove or correct them. When the fill washes away over several washes, the swirls will be visible again. For heavy swirls or scratches, a compound followed by a polish is the appropriate tool.
SDS §15 lists diethanolamine (a trace impurity at 0.015%) as a Prop 65 substance for cancer. This is a common trace impurity from ethoxylated surfactants. the product listing does not display the Prop 65 warning · this is a confirmed false negative for multiple Adam's products. California law requires disclosure at any confirmed level.
No · apply ceramic coatings to bare, decontaminated paint, not over a glaze. The D5 silicone carrier in this product (30·60% by weight) can interfere with ceramic bonding if applied shortly before the coating. Allow at least several weeks or strip the glaze residue fully before coating.
