A wash mitt is what actually touches your paint, so it matters more than the shampoo does. Plush microfiber or sheepskin lifts dirt away from the surface instead of dragging it across — sponges and old t-shirts grind grit into the clear coat and leave swirl marks you'll see in every parking-lot reflection. Use one mitt for paint and a separate, clearly different one for wheels. Pair with a two-bucket setup and grit guards.
