Health score is for adult use as intended, per the manufacturer's SDS. It does not model child ingestion, accidental spill cleanup, or off-label use. See the safety panel below for full hazard classification, and /disclaimer for the full editorial scope.
GHS hazard codes are quoted from the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet. PPE tiers below translate those codes and the listed ingredient chemistry; they are not CarCareTruth recommendations.

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“No eye-hazard H-codes in SDS §2. The pump-spray format creates a low-probability mist contact scenario outdoors. SDS §8 carries no eye protection requirement. Back label reads "CAUTION: EYE IRRITANT" · standard precautionary language without a GHS §2 H319 classification at the mixture level. ”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“No skin H-codes in SDS §2. SDS §8 has no mandatory skin protection requirement. Brief hand contact during spray-and-wipe is the typical exposure scenario. Wash hands after use per SDS §8 general hygiene guidance. ”

From the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
“No respiratory H-codes in SDS §2. SDS §8 specifies no respiratory protection requirement. The situational tier reflects the pump-spray form factor in a confined or poorly ventilated space only · standard outdoor or open-garage use carries negligible inhalation exposure. ”

TL;DR Warm carnauba shine in under 10 minutes, but protection lasts only 1·2 washes · a touch-up product, not a wax replacement. WARNING signal word is combustible liquid classification only; ensure ventilation if using in a closed garage.
Express Shine is a carnauba-based spray wax built for a quick between-wash shine boost. Spray, spread with a microfiber, buff off · a full car takes 5·10 minutes, and the technique is forgiving even in partial sun. The finish has the warm glow carnauba is known for and beads water right after application. The durability gap is real: owner reviews consistently confirm protection is gone after a single wash, despite the "long-lasting" label language. Best treated as a weekly shine refresher, not a standalone wax layer.
Good fit for daily-driver owners who want a quick shine refresh and already run a sealant or paste wax underneath. Skip it if you need genuine multi-week protection · a spray sealant or ceramic spray will outlast it by a significant margin.
WARNING signal word is driven solely by combustible liquid classification · SDS §2 carries no health H-codes at the mixture level, so the signal word reflects a fire-storage concern, not a chemical health hazard. A Prop 65 disclosure appears on the Amazon listing; the SDS (March 2015) lists no specific triggers, so the substance is unknown. VOC is low (~9 g/L) and the formula is CARB compliant. The silicone carrier is linear PDMS, not D4/D5 cyclic siloxane, so no bioaccumulation concerns apply.
The Safety Data Sheet for Turtle Wax Express Shine Carnauba Spray Wax carries a WARNING signal word. The Amazon listing also carries a California Prop 65 warning. See the PPE breakdown above for use-case-specific guidance translated from the SDS hazard codes.
CarCareTruth scores Turtle Wax Express Shine Carnauba Spray Wax at 6.3 out of 10 on the composite CCT score, with a health sub-score of 7.0/10. The CCT score blends real-world effectiveness, ingredient health impact pulled from the manufacturer's safety sheet, and environmental footprint against a published category rubric. See the methodology link on this page for the full scoring breakdown.
Per the Safety Data Sheet ingredient disclosure: Water (>90%), Polydimethyl Siloxane (1·5%), Isopropyl Alcohol (0.05·1.5%). Source: SDS §3, Revision A-4, March 2, 2015. Carnauba wax confirmed from label and marketing but not listed in SDS §3 · concentration undisclosed.
