CarCareTruth's Analysis
Last reviewed May 26, 2026
TL;DR Across 7,784 Amazon ratings (4.4 stars) and 10 video reviews, verified-purchase reviewers describe thick, clinging foam — "super soapy bubbles" that "paint your car so thick and fast with soap." Brass valve collar and brass 1/4" quick-connect plug confirmed visually from the clean studio image. Failure-mode scan of 13 top reviews plus 10 videos: zero distinct same-failure reports. Dwell time unconfirmed. Long-term multi-season community data is limited beyond a single 3-year-ownership report.
What it is and how it performs
A 1/4" quick-connect cannon with a wide-mouth plastic bottle, brass valve collar, and brass quick-connect plug. A top-mounted ratio knob adjusts soap draw rate from the bottle; the fan-pattern nozzle twists between a wide and a narrow stream. The listing claims compatibility with "any PSI sprayer"; community evidence skews toward gas and higher-flow electric pressure washers, with one top reviewer specifically calling out a 3,200 PSI gas machine. The wide-neck bottle is marketed against the neck-crack failure mode common to cheaper cannons.
Who should buy this — and who should skip it
Best for home detailers running a US-standard 1/4" quick-connect pressure washer at higher flow rates who want thick foam coverage without paying premium-brand prices. Note: listed as an Amazon Add-On Item — requires a qualifying cart total to purchase. Skip if you need documented multi-season durability data before buying — community evidence is thin past the first year. Skip if you wash from a garden hose; that calls for a foam gun, not a cannon.
Safety and environmental impact
Hardware with no chemical exposure pathway — health score 9.5 (Minimal Risk). Plastic bottle plus brass valve collar and brass quick-connect fittings; no manufacturer take-back program documented.
Frequently asked questions
What pressure washer do I need for the TriNova Foam Cannon?▾
The cannon uses a 1/4" quick-connect plug — US-standard for consumer pressure washer lances. The listing claim is 'works with any PSI sprayer.' Top reviewers describe strong output on a Husqvarna 3,200 PSI gas washer, and community evidence skews toward gas and higher-flow electric machines. M22-threaded lances require a separate 1/4" QC adapter, not included.
Are the TriNova Foam Cannon internals really brass?▾
The clean studio product image shows a brass valve collar between the bottle and the head plus a brass 1/4" quick-connect plug. The ratio knob and fan-pattern nozzle are black plastic. The current-production unit's internal materials beyond the visible collar and plug have not been independently verified by CarCareTruth.
Is this an Amazon Add-On Item?▾
Yes. Per the Rainforest cache, this listing is marked as an Amazon Add-On Item, which means it cannot be purchased standalone and requires a qualifying cart total at checkout.
Does the TriNova Foam Cannon leak or break?▾
The failure-mode scan of 13 top Amazon reviews plus 10 video reviews in the Rainforest cache (rubric v2.2 includes video surfaces) returned zero distinct same-failure-mode patterns. One reviewer reported the unit stopped working after 3 uses (warranty-replaced); a separate reviewer reported a bottle-neck crack after 3+ years of trouble-free use (also warranty-replaced). Both fall below the 3-distinct-reviewer threshold required to identify a documented failure pattern. One video review is titled 'WORKS PERFECTLY AND NO LEAKS.'
How do I clean the TriNova Foam Cannon after use?▾
Run plain water through the cannon for 30–60 seconds at the end of each session to clear residual soap from the orifice and bottle. The wide-mouth bottle design makes it easy to rinse and refill. No chronic clogging issues surfaced in the top-review or video scan.

Stopped working after 3 uses.
Update:The seller reached out to me to send a replacement for the defective one. So far the new one works great. I’ll change my review from 3/5 to 5/5 for the customer service and the new replacement. I’ll update if anything changes, but it seems to work well for now.Original review:I originally bought the foam gun to use to help clean an rv since I didn’t want to hand wash it for half the day. It worked perfectly and cut the time down to about 2 hours of total time on a 37’ motorhome. It was simple to use and seemed to work perfectly. It was such a fun job that I had my parents bring their cars over so I could shine them up too. It’s quite fun to see how much foam can be put on the car in a matter of seconds and then a quick scrubbing followed by a delicate washer tip to rinse. The powerwasher I have is a Husqvarna 3200psi..?? It’s something up in the 3k range so no issues with the power. The second time I went to use it over the summer I noticed it became very difficult to unhook from the power washer quick connect. I planned to have the fitting checked out, but forgot. I cleaned up the foamer by washing it out and letting it dry in the sun for a couple hours immediately after each use.About a month ago I went to wash the motorhome again and for some reason the water wouldn’t come out of the foamer. There was no mixing or anything other than a pressure buildup which left me unable to unhook the quick connect without help. We ended up having to unhook the hose to let the pressure off the gun and then unhook the foamer after it had lost some much pressure. The fitting seems to be a normal size for my power washer, but has many dents where the bearings were sitting. It looks like it’s high quality in terms of the metals and the soap jar, but it didn’t work so well for me. Some people suggested to look for debris in the nozzle and to check the valve behind the fitting, but there wasn’t anything that could be seen that could prevent it from working.Perhaps I got a lemon, but while it worked, it was a blast and I truly enjoyed how quickly it worked and the ease of use. Hope this helps
