TL;DR Community evidence puts durability at 4·8 weeks on a daily driver, shorter for heavy-use cases, longer for garage-kept vehicles · honest for the cleaner-wax format. Wipes off in one pass. SDS §8 specifies wear gloves and eye protection; Amazon lists a Prop 65 warning for trace petroleum-distillate constituents.
This is a one-step liquid that combines a mild clay-based abrasive with a protective wax in a single application · it clears light haze, fine swirl marks, and minor oxidation while depositing a high-gloss film. Work a small amount into one panel at a time, let the haze form (2·4 minutes), then buff off with a microfiber in one pass. Community reviews consistently highlight easy removal as the standout trait. Durability runs 4·8 weeks on a daily driver; the label makes no specific months claim, and the community window is roughly consistent with what the formula suggests. Garage-kept vehicles get considerably more.
Buy this if you want a monthly clean-and-protect step that skips separate decontamination · the mild abrasive handles light haze accumulation in one pass, useful on older paint. Skip it for 3+ months of protection per application: a paste wax or paint sealant lasts significantly longer. Skip it before paint correction, where a non-abrasive protectant is the right follow-on step.
WARNING signal word from H315 (skin irritation) and H319 (eye irritation) at mixture level; SDS §8 specifies protective gloves and eye protection. Amazon lists a Prop 65 warning for trace petroleum-distillate constituents. Estimated VOC falls in the 51·150 g/L bracket; H412 (chronic aquatic Cat 3) is present in the SDS §2 mixture classification.
The Safety Data Sheet for Meguiar's Cleaner Wax, Liquid (A1216) carries a WARNING signal word, with classified hazards including H315 (causes skin irritation); H319 (causes serious eye irritation); H412 (harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects). The Amazon listing also carries a California Prop 65 warning. See the PPE breakdown above for use-case-specific guidance translated from the SDS hazard codes.
