Prices may varyThe manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet classifies this product with one or more GHS Category 1 health hazards — the most severe tier. The hazard statements in quotes below are the verbatim GHS language from the SDS, as required by OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard. The line under each statement translates the GHS classification into plain language.
GHS Category 1 aspiration toxicity — thin, oily liquids can slip into the lungs if swallowed, causing chemical pneumonia.
If swallowed:
The aspiration hazard (H304) is about the liquid being swallowed and reaching the airway, not about breathing fumes during normal use.
Call Poison Control immediately at 1-800-222-1222 (US, 24/7, free) and have the product container with you. Poison Control's standing guidance is to not induce vomiting after chemical exposure; they will direct first-aid steps based on the specific product.

SDS §8 (German REACH SDS, rev 3.0, 2023-01-05), Handschutz: 'Geeignete Schutzhandschuhe tragen.' · 'Wear suitable protective gloves.' SDS names specific glove materials with breakthrough times >= 8h: FKM (fluorocarbon rubber, 0.4mm), butyl rubber (0.5mm), CR (polychloroprene, 0.5mm), NBR (nitrile, 0.35mm), PVC (0.5mm), per EN ISO 374. Imperative §8 direction, not conditional boilerplate.

Only when: in enclosed space · prolonged use
Translated from the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
No inhalation H-codes in SDS §2 (H335, H334, H331, H330 all absent at the product mixture level). Petroleum distillate content at 15-20% combined (naphtha 10-12% + kerosene 5-8%) means vapor buildup is possible in enclosed garages during prolonged sessions. SDS §8 advises ventilation in conditions of insufficient air exchange. No respirator required for standard outdoor or well-ventilated garage use.

“The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment.”
OSHA standards apply to workplaces. Cited here as the U.S. reference threshold for the underlying hazard class.

No PPE specified in published sources for ventilation. Absence does not imply “not needed” — consult the full Safety Data Sheet.
PPE tiers translate the manufacturer’s SDS and U.S. regulatory standards. Not professional safety advice. How we report safety.
Scope of these PPE tiers. The tiers on this page translate the product's Safety Data Sheet where one is published, plus its ingredient chemistry, into a comparable rating. They describe a formulation, not a situation: a tier is not a safety determination for any specific user, task, quantity, or environment. The manufacturer's label and use instructions govern how the product is handled. Where the product is used at work, the employer's PPE program and hazard assessment under 29 CFR 1910.132 decide what protection is selected, not this page.

TL;DR Gyeon Q²M Polish is silicone-free and leaves a hologram-ready finish on hard clear coats in one DA pass · solid for pre-ceramic coating prep. The DANGER signal word comes from the petroleum distillate carrier, not a sensitizer. Working time is shorter than water-based finishers, especially on hard clears in heat.
Q²M Polish removes light swirl marks and compound haze in one finishing pass, leaving a clean surface for wax or ceramic coating. Apply a few pea-sized drops per panel on a foam finishing pad at low-to-moderate speed, wipe with microfiber. Quality 6.80 out of 10. An expert owner tested it on hard Porsche Carrera White paint with a Rupes LHR15 and yellow pad, finished in three passes, and judged the result clean enough to skip a lighter follow-up polish. Working time is short for a petroleum-distillate carrier; Rupes yellow foam is the documented best pad match; the owner-review base is still thin.
Two-step detailers finishing before ceramic coating: SDS-confirmed silicone-free makes it appropriate for pre-coat and body-shop prep. Skip it for deeply scratched paint · the expert review is explicit it cannot handle heavy defects · and the 120ml size is expensive per-panel for anything beyond light finishing work.
DANGER traces to aspiration hazard from the petroleum distillate carrier (naphtha and kerosene at 15-20% combined) · a swallowing risk, not a contact or inhalation hazard during normal use. No sensitizer or eye-damage code in SDS §2. Ventilate enclosed garages for prolonged sessions. Do not induce vomiting if swallowed · seek medical attention. Naphtha carries chronic aquatic toxicity; estimated VOC 51-150 g/L; environment scores 5.875 out of 10.
The Safety Data Sheet for Gyeon Q²M Polish carries a DANGER signal word, with classified hazards including H226 (flammable liquid and vapour); H304 (may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways); H411 (toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects). See the PPE breakdown above for use-case-specific guidance translated from the SDS hazard codes.
CarCareTruth scores Gyeon Q²M Polish at 6.4 out of 10 on the composite CCT score, with a health sub-score of 5.0/10. The CCT score blends real-world effectiveness, ingredient health impact pulled from the manufacturer's safety sheet, and environmental footprint against a published category rubric. See the methodology link on this page for the full scoring breakdown.
