Purolator filters cover three separate jobs, and the fastest way to tell which one you are holding is the part-number prefix. PL and PBL numbers are spin-on engine oil filters. A numbers are engine air filters, the panel that feeds the intake. C and PBC numbers are cabin air filters, the panel behind the glovebox that feeds the vents you breathe through. Buying the wrong one is the most common mistake here, because "air filter" gets used for both the engine and the cabin.
