Mopar is the official parts, service, and customer care brand of Stellantis (formerly FCA — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), the parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, and FIAT. The name is a portmanteau of "Motor Parts," dating to 1937.
Mopar fluids, filters, and chemicals are formulated to OEM specification for the FCA/Stellantis vehicle portfolio. When a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram owner manual calls for a specific material standard (MS) number, the corresponding Mopar-branded product is the first-party reference fluid designed to meet that specification. For coolant, the current OAT specification is MS-90032, which replaced the older MS-12106 standard starting with 2013 model year vehicles.
