SoonSaturn Vue
1st Generation (Theta platform)
2002–2007 · Theta · suv
First-generation Vue on GM's Theta platform, built at Spring Hill, Tennessee. Retained Saturn's plastic body-panel signature. Engines: 2.2L Ecotec L61 4-cyl, 3.0L L81 Opel V6 (with the failure-prone VTi CVT), and from 2004 the 3.5L J35A Honda V6 paired with a Honda 5-speed automatic — easily the most reliable powertrain offered.
Watch out: Early V6 cars with the VTi CVT have a documented near-100% failure rate by ~100k miles — GM extended warranty coverage and many owners converted to a conventional 5-speed auto out of pocket. Avoid these unless the swap has already been done. 2004+ Honda-V6 Vues are dramatically better.

2nd Generation (Opel Antara rebadge)
2008–2010 · Theta · suv
Second-gen Vue dropped the plastic body panels and the Theta architecture — became a rebadged Opel Antara built at GM's Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. Engines: 2.4L Ecotec, 3.5L LZ4 V6, 3.6L LY7. Discontinued when Saturn folded for MY2010.
Watch out: 3.6L LY7 high-feature V6 timing-chain stretch (shared issue across the LY7 family). Orphaned-brand parts and dealer support are the bigger long-term concern — Opel Antara cross-references are now the lookup path for many components.
