Acadia 3 gens
Y2K Era
SoonGMC Acadia
1st Generation
2007–2016 · Lambda · suv
First-generation Acadia on GM's Lambda platform (siblings: Chevy Traverse, Saturn Outlook, Buick Enclave). Single engine: 3.6L LY7/LLT V6 (275-288 hp) early; 3.6L LFX V6 (288-310 hp) from 2013. 6-speed 6T75 automatic. FWD or AWD. Eight-passenger seating (seven with captain's chairs).
Watch out: 3.6L LLT/LY7 timing-chain stretch on pre-2012 builds is the main engine concern — symptoms include P0008/P0009 codes and rough idle; $1,500-$3,000 repair. Steering rack failures and water-pump leaks are also common.
Modern Era
SoonGMC Acadia
2nd Generation
2017–2023 · C1XX · suv
Second-generation Acadia on the C1XX platform (sibling to Cadillac XT5 / XT6, Chevy Traverse 2nd gen). Downsized from 200.8 to 193.6 inches long. 2.5L LCV I4 (193 hp) base, 3.6L LGX V6 (310 hp) optional. 2.0L LTG turbo I4 briefly offered. 6-speed (2.5L), 9-speed 9T65 (3.6L). FWD or AWD. AT4 off-road trim added 2020.
Watch out: 9-speed 9T65 automatic shudder/harsh shifting on early 3.6L builds is the dominant complaint — software reflash + revised valve-body components are the standard fix. 2.5L LCV timing-chain stretch on high-mileage examples is the secondary concern.
Modern Era
SoonGMC Acadia
3rd Generation
2024–2026 · C1-2 · suv
Third-generation Acadia, returned to full-size proportions to better compete in the three-row crossover segment. Single engine: 2.5L LK0 turbocharged I4 (328 hp / 326 lb-ft). 8-speed automatic. Built at Lansing Delta Township. AT4 off-road and Denali trims. Super Cruise available.
Watch out: Still too new for a durability verdict. The new 2.5L LK0 turbo-four is unproven long-term; early-build owners report some infotainment glitches resolved by OTA updates.

SoonGMC Sierra 1500
GMT800 (1st Generation Sierra)
1999–2006 · GMT800 · truck
The GMT800 Sierra launched for 1999 as the first truck wearing the Sierra nameplate, replacing the GMC C/K. Mechanically identical to the Silverado GMT800, with the same 4.3L Vortec V6, 4.8L LR4, 5.3L LM7, and 6.0L LQ4 V8s, all Gen III small-block iron-block Vortec engines. No AFM in this generation. The Sierra-only Denali trim debuted on the GMT800 with the C3/Denali AWD variant introducing all-wheel drive on a full-size half-ton.
Watch out: Rust on cab corners, rocker panels, and rear wheel arches in salt-belt states. Owner reports of intake manifold gasket leaks on 5.3L LM7 and 4L60E transmission wear at higher mileage.
Y2K Era
SoonGMC Sierra 1500
GMT900 (3rd Generation)
2007–2014 · GMT900 · truck
