CarCareTruth's Analysis
Last reviewed May 26, 2026
TL;DR One Amazon verified-purchase reviewer (Oct 2023) confirmed readings matched a professional gauge exactly, and sensor batteries are holding up through two RV seasons without a change. No community follow-up data was found beyond these reports at time of review.
What it is and how it performs
External-cap TPMS kit with a 3.15-inch color LCD, designed for RV and trailer towing. Four valve-cap transmitters use user-replaceable CR1632 cells; the included Rhino signal booster connects to 12V or 24V and relays data from the trailer's rear axle to the cab display. Manufacturer accuracy is rated at ±1 PSI; one verified-purchase reviewer confirmed a match against a professional gauge. The display runs on a rechargeable internal battery. FCC Part 15 certification was not independently verifiable as of May 2026; no CPSC recall is on record.
Who should buy this — and who should skip it
Right call for fifth-wheel towers and RV owners who want a standalone display — install takes about 15 minutes and the Rhino booster handles the range challenge that defeats cheaper kits on long vehicles. Passenger-car drivers who don't tow should skip it; a simpler 4-sensor kit without a booster is more cost-effective for a single vehicle.
Safety and environmental impact
FCC Part 15 certification was not independently verifiable in the FCC database as of May 2026 (no matching entries for TireMinder, Minder Research, or Valterra). No CPSC recall on record. At end-of-life, the display's rechargeable battery and the CR1632 sensor cells should go to Call2Recycle or a retailer drop-off; no manufacturer take-back program is documented.
Frequently asked questions
Does the TireMinder i10 work with a truck and towed trailer?▾
Yes. The kit includes the Rhino signal booster, which connects to the tow vehicle's 12V or 24V power and extends RF range to cover the trailer's rear axle. Multiple owners report reliable signal across fifth wheel and travel trailer combinations up to full-size RV lengths.
What batteries do the TireMinder i10 transmitters use?▾
The 4 external transmitters use CR1632 3V coin cell batteries. They are user-replaceable — unscrew the cap, swap the cell, reinstall. No tire dismounting required.
How many tires can the TireMinder i10 monitor?▾
The i10 display can monitor up to 10 tires simultaneously and stores profiles for up to 4 vehicles (40 tires total). It auto-swaps between front and rear vehicle displays during towing.
Does the TireMinder i10 have a display or use a phone app?▾
It has a dedicated 3.15-inch color LCD display unit with an internal rechargeable battery, not a phone app. The display mounts on the dash or windshield and shows PSI and temperature readings simultaneously.

Excellent TPMS option
I know there are a lot of TPMS systems out there, so I took a swing at this product and so far I am very pleased. I chose a system that doesn't use an app on my phone, I prefer to turn on the system and mount the display and let that be it. The monitor and display is easy to read. It comes with a suction mount also. It has an internal battery so you plug it in and charge it prior to using. I find this to be a plus because I don't need another device plugged in with wires running everywhere. I charged it up, mounted it to the windshield on the left side and drove over 5 hours and it never even went to half battery life. It does come with the charger for the cig lighter so you can plug it in if you want/need to. The device also has a signal booster that you mount on the undercarriage (or wherever you decide). Very easy to attach and works perfectly.Installation: I know this is one of the most-read parts of a review. Well this one is SUPER easy! It took me longer to make up my mind on where I wanted to mount the signal booster than it did to install and set up the entire system. If a product says it takes 10 minutes to install it usually takes me 15-20 because I'm reading and re-reading and second guessing. This product says 10 minutes and it might have been faster than that! You click a button to show which tire you're setting up, screw the monitor on to that tire, and it syncs. Repeat for each tire and then set the cold tire pressure recommendation so it knows when to alert you of low tire pressure. Very easy. As soon as it picked up all of my tires it alerted me that 2 of them were low. I aired them up and we were ready to roll. It monitors pressure and temperature and has visual and audio alerts.Overall this TPMS was an excellent purchase. It's middle of the road as far as price goes and to be honest the price is worth my peace of mind on long interstate trips. I definitely recommend this to my fellow campers, safe travels everyone!
