The Eagle Edgeless 500 is primarily a final-buff and spray-detailing towel: wax removal, sealant leveling, quick-detail wipe-offs, and waterless wash. It also handles interior surfaces and mirrors well. For post-wash drying of full panels, the larger 16x24 variant or a dedicated drying towel handles higher water volumes more efficiently.

The 500 GSM is The Rag Company's workhorse buffing towel; the 600 GSM variant is heavier and better suited for polishing compounds and coating leveling where extra pile depth is needed. The 500 is the more versatile daily-use choice; the 600 is the specialist for heavier compound work.

The edgeless construction uses no sewn border; the edges are cut and the pile is bonded without stitching. This means occasional loose threads can work free during laundering, especially in the first few washes. The manufacturer acknowledges this and recommends trimming loose threads with scissors; the towel's function and scratch safety are unaffected.

It performs adequately on glass, but the 500 GSM plush pile creates more drag than a dedicated low-pile glass towel. For streak-free window work, a thinner flat-weave or waffle-weave glass towel is the more precise tool. The Eagle Edgeless 500 works fine on glass in a multi-surface workflow where precision glass work is not the primary task.
