TL;DR Rated 1,000 ft-lbs fastening / 1,400 ft-lbs nut-busting on a ½" drive; multi-year community fastener-removal evidence is positive. CE-certified; no US independent safety listing confirmed.
What it is and how it performs
A cordless ½" drive brushless impact wrench on the Milwaukee M18 18V platform. Multiple torque modes let you dial back for sensitive applications. No independent torque meter test was located; community evidence draws from fastener-removal outcomes only. Multi-year ownership reviews confirm reliable removal of truck lug nuts, tractor-tire lug nuts, and mower deck blades; only severely corroded exhaust bolts occasionally challenged the tool. Bare tool ~2.84 lbs; heavier with battery attached.
Who should buy this — and who should skip it
Buyers already on the Milwaukee M18 platform doing tire rotations, suspension work, or equipment maintenance will find this wrench handles demanding fastener loads. Skip it if you have no M18 battery inventory — batteries are not included. Skip it for compact engine-bay access where a shorter ⅜" model fits better.
Safety and environmental impact
CE-certified; no UL or ETL listing confirmed (2026-05-17). Li-ion chemistry; no CPSC recall. Hearing protection situationally appropriate for extended use. Recycle M18 batteries via Call2Recycle.

Great, powerful impact
We've had this for a couple of years now, and it's been fantastic. It works as well as it did on day one, and we've never had an issue with it. It's been extremely helpful on many projects, mostly automotive. It rarely meets a bolt it can't break loose. I think only some insanely stubborn exhaust bolts have bested it. Overall, we are pleased with the power. It's pretty heavy, which is to be expected for a large impact. As with all Milwaukee tools, the design is thoughtful and it's well made. The battery charges up quickly and has a good lifespan. The battery is easy to remove, as well.We love Milwaukee tools and have yet to be disappointed by any of our purchases. For power, quality, and convenience, I recommend paying a little more for Milwaukee over other brands if you'll be using your tools fairly frequently.
