CarCareTruth's Analysis
Last reviewed May 29, 2026
TL;DR A 21mm corded dual-action polisher confirmed by professional detailers to handle heavy correction and swirl removal on most paint types. No US electrical safety certification is on file.
What it is and how it performs
The M21 Pro runs 2,200–5,000 OPM with a 21mm orbit on a 6-inch backing plate — a correction machine, not a finishing-only tool. Community reviewers confirm it removes light-to-heavy scratches without stalling under compound load. At 1.8 kg with a manageable rumble at high speed, extended sessions are workable. It is a dual-action random-orbital, not rotary.
Who should buy this — and who should skip it
Weekend detailers tackling moderate-to-heavy swirl and scratch removal on one or two vehicles will find this capable and beginner-forgiving. Skip it for light-duty finishing work; a smaller-throw machine wastes less pad. Note: currently listed as an Amazon add-on item and may require a qualifying order to purchase.
Safety and environmental impact
No UL or ETL listing has been confirmed for this device; no CPSC recall is active. The M21 Pro is corded electric with no battery disposal concern; dispose via standard e-waste.

Excellent Backup Machine for Professional User
It is important to note that I used this machine professionally on a daily basis for one solid month. My main dual action polisher is a Rupes 21 Mark III. Great machine, but unfortunately it was down for a warranty claim and I needed a backup.Since the MaxShine machines intrigued me, I decided to buy a 21 Pro to compare to my Rupes and to have as a backup when it returned from warranty service.I used it for a solid month and can say the following:Ergonomics are great, actually. I like the feel of the machine in my hands. The handle is thick and nicely angled. The head is palm sized for my larger hands and has a solid rubber grip that really looks nice too.The tool feels more compact than it is, if that makes sense. Its proportions and weight distribution are excellent.5 of 5 starsComfort is a 4 of 5While it doesn't vibrate badly, it is not as smooth as the Rupes.I would describe the feel as more of a rumble than a sharp vibration. I have used it for spot work as well as hours long compounding and polishing jobs with no pain or fatigue. If I had never used this type of machine I likely would not have even made mention of this.I have added the "washer mod" underneath the backing plate so that there is no contact between the shroud and plate, but the plate still doesn't spin as freely as I would expect. With the machine off I spin the pad by hand and it stops quicker than other machines. Is this a lower quality bearing or something else?So far it has not made any odd noises, does not over heat, or give any indication of premature failure so this may be a non-issue.Don't confuse this with stalling. I have no complaints about its abilities. It seems to be an excellent value for the money spent. It costs less than half the Rupes and does the same things. The differences for me are the rumble feeling especially at higher RPM and my question about the bearing.Whether you are a professional looking for a less expensive backup machine (or even primary, who knows) or you are a hobbyist this is a great machine that does serious work in fine fashion.
