This product ranks #2 of 4 in Overspray Remover.
Last reviewed June 4, 2026
TL;DR A water-based spray gel that removes aerosol overspray, dried paint, and graffiti from hard surfaces like concrete, tile, and glass. Works on non-coated hard surfaces, but the manufacturer warns it strips any finish it contacts, so it is not a safe choice for automotive clearcoat.
A no-harsh-solvent spray gel for spot treatment of aerosol overspray, graffiti, adhesive residue, and dried paint on hard non-coated surfaces. Spray a thick coat, wait 5 to 15 minutes, then wipe or scrape. Community reports confirm it works on aerosol paint on concrete, porcelain, and plastic with light to moderate effort; it does not work on grease or kitchen-cabinet surfaces. The water-based formula separates during shipping, so shaking thoroughly before every use is mandatory: skipping the shake is the most common reason this product fails.
The right buy for someone dealing with aerosol overspray or graffiti on concrete, tile, glass, or masonry, where a non-solvent formula is preferred. Skip it for automotive clearcoat or coated paint: the manufacturer explicitly warns the product strips any underlying finish it contacts, which rules it out for vehicles with ceramic coating, PPF, or factory clear. For road-paint overspray on a painted car, use a dedicated automotive overspray remover with confirmed clearcoat safety.
The SDS classifies this product as not hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard: no signal word, no GHS H-codes at the mixture level. Water-based formula means negligible VOC and no inhalation concern outdoors. Safety glasses are worth wearing during the spray step due to incidental splash risk. No aquatic toxicity codes are confirmed in the SDS, so the environmental footprint is typical for water-based formulas.
CarCareTruth scores Max Strip All Purpose Paint Remover Spray at 6.3 out of 10 on the composite CCT score, with a health sub-score of 7.0/10. The CCT score blends real-world effectiveness, ingredient health impact pulled from the manufacturer's safety sheet, and environmental footprint against a published category rubric.
