Limited-slip differential. Friction modifier: +3.28 fl oz (97 ml) Motorcraft Additive Friction Modifier XL-3 (EST-M2C118-A) on limited-slip axles. Use an LSD-rated gear oil or add the modifier — a non-LSD fluid can make an LSD chatter.

Synthetic lubricant does not require changing unless the axle is submerged in water.
