C12-14 secondary alcohols ethoxylated are nonionic surfactants commonly found in interior cleaners and leather care products. They function as primary cleaning surfactants — lifting body oils, dirt, and dye transfer from porous surfaces like leather, vinyl, and fabric. At undiluted ingredient strength, they cause serious eye damage (H318) and moderate skin irritation (H315). At consumer product concentrations (typically 2.5–10%), the working dilution presents only mild eye irritation risk and is not classified as a skin sensitizer or systemic toxicant.
