RYOBI is a Hong Kong-headquartered power tool brand (originally a Japanese industrial company founded in 1943) and is distributed in North America exclusively through Home Depot and directtoolsoutlet.com under Techtronic Industries (TTI), the same parent that owns Milwaukee Tool and AEG. The brand covers cordless power tools (ONE+ 18V system, 40V HP system), outdoor power equipment, and corded/electric cleaning equipment including pressure washers. RYOBI's automotive pressure washers span a range from budget corded electric models to higher-output cordless units. The brand has a large established owner community and broad accessory ecosystem. Note: the original RYOBI 2300 PSI brushless pressure washer (model RY142300, sold 2017–2024) was recalled in August 2025 (CPSC recall 25-452) for a capacitor overheating hazard. Products sold after 2024 under similar model names are different designs.
