OdoBan is the flagship brand of Clean Control Corporation (Warner Robins, GA), launched in the late 1980s as a hospital-grade odor-elimination disinfectant. The product line covers Ready-to-Use 32 oz spray bottles and concentrate gallons across multiple fragrance variants (Eucalyptus, Citrus, Lavender, Cotton Breeze, Linen).
The active mechanism is alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC, often called "quat ammonium"), an EPA-registered antimicrobial that kills odor-producing bacteria. RTU concentration is 0.3% active, concentrate is up to 5%. The mechanism is genuinely different from fragrance-only products — by reducing bacterial counts, the underlying biological odor source is reduced rather than covered.
OdoBan's RTU product is registered with the EPA as both a disinfectant (66243-1) and a deodorizer. The brand has substantial cross-over use in pet, sports, and household contexts beyond automotive — community reviews on the 32 oz Citrus and Eucalyptus RTU bottles cite long-term effectiveness on smoke, pet urine, and gym odor in cars. Manufacturing is US-based.
