Gibbs Brand Lubricant was developed in 1969 by Paul Gibbs, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle mechanic, as a single multi-purpose penetrant and corrosion inhibitor for marine, automotive, and cycle work. The brand has remained a single-product niche player ever since — the same aerosol formula is sold today through Amazon and small specialty retailers, with a long-standing following among gunsmiths, antique-machinery restorers, vintage motorcycle owners, and military/police armorers.
