Fix-A-Flat is one of the original aerosol emergency tire repair products, first introduced in the 1970s and now owned by ITW Global Tire Repair, Inc. (a division of Illinois Tool Works). The brand's single-step aerosol formula — attach to the valve stem, press, go — has made it the default trunk emergency kit for millions of drivers.
The current product line spans multiple can sizes for compact, standard, and large/SUV tires. ITW updated the formula in recent years, phasing out older latex-heavy chemistry in favor of a more eco-conscious sealant system and replacing the traditional plastic cap with a "Performance Top" nozzle that doubles as the hose connector. The 16 oz S60420 is the standard-tire flagship; Fix-A-Flat also sells 20 oz (large/SUV) and 12 oz (compact) variants.
