East Penn Manufacturing is one of the largest battery manufacturers in the United States, headquartered at 102 Deka Road, Lyon Station, PA 19536. The company was founded in 1946 and produces Deka-brand lead-acid batteries for automotive, marine, RV, and industrial applications. East Penn is privately held and vertically integrated — they smelt their own lead, manufacture battery cases, and produce accessories like terminal protectants and cleaners under the same Deka brand.
