Brembo S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of braking systems founded in 1961 and headquartered in Bergamo, Italy. The company is the OEM brake supplier for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, BMW M-series, and numerous other high-performance marques, as well as a significant share of mainstream passenger car manufacturers globally.
In the US aftermarket, Brembo sells under its own brand through major retailers including Amazon, AutoZone, NAPA, O'Reilly, Advance Auto Parts, and Walmart. The product line includes cross-drilled and slotted rotors (OE and Xtra series), brake pads (NAO and compound-specific lines), calipers, and the Premium brake fluid line covering DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 LV (Low Viscosity / Class 6), and DOT 5.1.
Brembo's brake fluid is manufactured to meet and exceed FMVSS 116 specification thresholds. The DOT 4 fluid (part number L04010 in 1-liter) is OEM-spec for a large share of European and performance vehicles requiring DOT 4, and carries explicit ABS suitability labeling. The SDS is issued by Brembo N.V. (Amsterdam) and prepared under EU REACH Annex II / UK REACH standards, with the most recent revision dated December 14, 2023.
