Second-generation Tiguan on the MQB platform. North American Tiguan is the long-wheelbase 'Allspace' version with optional third-row seating — Europe got both short and long versions, US got long-only. 2.0T (184 hp) standard. 4Motion AWD optional. Replaced as 3rd-gen Tiguan (CT) launches globally; US sales of this generation ended 2024.

Watch out: EA888 Gen 3B engine: carbon-buildup and PCV concerns similar to other Gen 3 applications. Third-row seat is small — usable for children, tight for adults. Haldex 4Motion AWD service often neglected.
