Mk7 Jetta on the MQB platform. Independent rear suspension across the lineup — finally. 1.4T base / 2.0T turbo (GLI). GLI (2019+) shares the GTI's chassis tuning. 2024 facelift refreshed exterior and brought updated infotainment. Manual transmission still offered on GLI in some model years.
Watch out: 1.4T base engine: long-term reliability data is still developing; carbon buildup and PCV valve concerns possible. 2.0T GLI: same EA888 family concerns. Infotainment software bugs in early Mk7 cars.
