Toyota Sienna 4th Generation (XL40)

The 4th-gen Sienna launched as hybrid-only across every trim, a first for a mainstream US minivan. Powertrain is the 2.5L A25A-FXS gas engine paired with the Toyota Hybrid System and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard; an electric rear motor enables the optional AWD. Trims include LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. Built on the TNGA-K platform shared with the Camry, Avalon, and Highlander.

Watch out: Generation is still in active production with limited long-term data. Owner reports of a high-pitched whine from the high-voltage transaxle on some early-build 2021 vans surface in forums; treat any single complaint as anecdotal until a formal NHTSA or Toyota campaign appears.
