Toyota Corolla 12th Generation (E210)

The 12th-gen Corolla moved to the TNGA GA-C platform shared with the Prius and C-HR. The US lineup includes the sedan, the hatchback (which arrived for 2019 as a 2019 model), and a Corolla Hybrid using the 1.8L 2ZR-FXE Toyota Hybrid System. Gas engines are the 1.8L 2ZR-FAE on lower trims and the 2.0L M20A-FKS on SE/XSE/Hatchback. CVT or 6-speed manual on the hatchback.

Watch out: Generation is still relatively young and Toyota has not issued any defining defect campaign. Owner forums report scattered complaints about CVT behavior at low speeds and minor infotainment glitches; treat any single thread as anecdotal until a formal NHTSA or Toyota campaign appears.
