Toyota Corolla 10th Generation (E140/E150)

2009–2013 · E140 · sedan

The 10th-gen Corolla launched in the US for the 2009 model year on a development of the previous-generation platform. Standard powertrain was the 1.8L 2ZR-FE paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The sportier XRS trim used the 2.4L 2AZ-FE shared with the Camry. Sedan-only in the US; the related Matrix carried the hatchback role on its own platform.

Watch out: Caught in the 2009-2010 Toyota floor-mat and accelerator-pedal recalls. A separate 2012 recall covered defective driver-side power window master switches that could overheat. Verify VIN-specific recall completion records on any 2009-2010 candidate before buying.
