Subaru WRX 4th Generation (VB)

Fourth-gen WRX (VB chassis) moved to the Subaru Global Platform and swapped the EJ-series for the FA24F 2.4L turbo flat-four (271 hp). 6-speed manual or Lineartronic CVT (with SI-Drive modes). Polarizing cladding-heavy styling. Subaru confirmed no STI variant of this generation for the US market — the VA STI was the last of its line. TR trim added 2024 with track-focused suspension.

Watch out: Owner reports of FA24F oil-consumption complaints and 11.6-inch infotainment lag carried over from the Outback BT lineage. The CVT is calibrated for daily-driver duty — enthusiasts should buy the manual.
