Seventh-gen Legacy rides the Subaru Global Platform shared with the Outback BT. FB25 2.5L naturally-aspirated on most trims; FA24 2.4L turbo flat-four (260 hp) on XT and Sport. Lineartronic CVT only. 11.6-inch portrait infotainment standard on most trims. Subaru announced the end of US Legacy production with the 2025 model year — last call for the nameplate.

Watch out: Same 11.6-inch infotainment lag / freeze pattern as the Outback BT — verify software updates. The turbo XT has its own intake-valve-carbon and high-pressure-fuel-pump curve typical of direct-injection engines.
