Sixth-gen Legacy (sedan; the Outback split as its own model lineup at this point) ran FB25 2.5L or EZ36 3.6L (3.6R) — the last Legacy with the flat-six. Lineartronic CVT only — no manual. EyeSight became the default ADAS package. Quiet generation with steady fleet/family-sedan sales.
Watch out: FB25 oil consumption extended-warranty coverage continued into early units (2015 affected — see Outback BR note). Otherwise reliability reputation is solid; the EZ36 is one of Subaru's most durable engines.
