Subaru Forester 5th Generation (SK)

2019–2024 · SK · suv

Fifth-gen Forester moved to the Subaru Global Platform. FB25 2.5L naturally-aspirated flat-four only (no turbo until Wilderness — 2022+). Lineartronic CVT only. EyeSight standard across trims; DriverFocus camera (drowsiness/distraction) added. Wilderness trim joined for 2022 with lift, all-terrain tires, revised gearing. The naturally-aspirated-only configuration disappointed some enthusiasts.

Watch out: Owner reports of CVT shudder under heavy load in certain conditions; FB25 oil-consumption concerns continued in early SK builds though to a lesser degree than the SJ. Verify any drivetrain TSBs were completed.
