Subaru Crosstrek 2nd Generation (GT)

2018–2023 · GT · suv

Second-gen Crosstrek moved to the Subaru Global Platform (shared with the Impreza GK). FB20 2.0L base, 6-speed manual or CVT. The Crosstrek Hybrid PHEV (2019+, ~17 mi EV range) used a Toyota-derived hybrid system. The Crosstrek Sport / Limited (2021+) got the larger FB25 2.5L for more usable power. Wilderness trim joined for 2024 (technically end of GT cycle).

Watch out: Owner reports of starter-relay quirks on early-MY2018-2019 cars (related to a broader Subaru recall on push-button-start logic), and CVT shudder addressed by software updates. Verify any drivetrain TSBs were completed.
