Nissan Juke F15

20112017 · F15 · suv

First-generation Juke (US-market). 1.6L MR16DDT turbo I4 (188hp / 177 lb-ft), one of the few small turbos worth caring about in the segment. 6-speed manual or Xtronic CVT. FWD or AWD with torque-vectoring on the rear axle. Polarizing 'frog-eye' headlight styling. Hot Nismo and Nismo RS variants added more power (215hp on RS), upgraded chassis bits, and recaro-style seats. Discontinued in the US after the 2017 model year; the global Juke continued.

Watch out: Turbo MR16DDT cars have documented timing-chain stretch and turbo wastegate failure modes, listen for chain rattle on cold start and check the turbo for shaft play. The Xtronic CVT in turbo applications is also working harder than usual; manual-transmission Jukes are the more durable choice on the used market.

Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
